RA - The Sun god
Ra was believed to be the mighty sun god. The ancient Egyptians considered him to be the father of all gods and the source of power in ancient Egypt. Ra had a daughter named Hathor, goddess of the sky, women, fertility and love. In some versions of the myths, Hathor was also Ra's wife. Every night, Ra took a journey through the underworld on his boat. He had to conquer a serpent before he could be born again. Ra was born by raising himself triumphantly out of the ocean of chaos.
Horus - The Falcon Headed Sky God
Horus was the son of Osiris and Isis. The most widely believed myth about his birth is that Isis conceived him by magic after Osiris died. Isis hid herself from Set in the marshes of the Nile Delta and quietly gave birth to Horus. The myths say that a vengeful Horus challenged his uncle Set to a battle. In the battle, Horus lost one eye. However, Set was also wounded and the gods judged him as the loser, and saw Horus worthy of the throne. In a few versions of the story, Set was forced to return the eye to Horus, who in return gave the eye to his father, Osiris.
